What We Cover in This Episode:
The team discusses what mentorship and collaboration look like in practice at Evolve. This is not a formal program with a binder and a checklist. It is an ongoing, organic culture where therapists with different specialties regularly share knowledge, challenge each other’s clinical reasoning, and pull one another into the treatment room when a second set of eyes could make a difference for a patient.
Highlights From This Episode:
- One therapist came to Evolve wanting to grow her manual therapy skills, particularly for the spine. That growth happened through hands-on practice with colleagues during downtime and through structured Monday morning case reviews where therapists could present a challenging patient and get direct clinical input. That kind of mentorship, she notes, can happen in concentrated bursts or in a steady ongoing rhythm.
- The alternative to collaboration is practicing in isolation, and our therapists are clear about what that looks like. You go deep on your own thinking, miss perspectives you did not know were available, and take longer to arrive at solutions that a five-minute conversation with a colleague could have unlocked.
- Pulling a colleague into the treatment room for a second opinion happens regularly at Evolve. It is not a formal process. It is simply part of how the team operates. One therapist noted she does it approximately once a week.
- The team’s range of specialties makes collaboration particularly valuable. Post-operative patients approaching return-to-sport milestones, for example, are transitioned to the therapist best suited for that phase of care. The handoff is intentional and benefits the patient directly.
Want to Keep Growing After You Get the Job?
Clinical growth does not stop at graduation, and the environment you practice in determines how much you continue to develop. At Evolve, collaboration is not a perk. It is part of how we work every day. If that matters to you, we would love to talk.
